Adoption Agreement Contract
I, the Adopter, hereby agree to the following terms and conditions:
I agree not to sell, give away or abandon the rabbit, but to keep the rabbit in my custody as a loved companion. If it becomes impossible to care for this rabbit, I will return the rabbit to Monterey Peninsula HRS.
I understand that the adoption fee is a not-for-profit donation and may not be refunded.
I understand that the rabbit(s) become my responsibility and therefore I will not hold Monterey Peninsula HRS liable for any health and/or behavioral problems that may arise.
I promise to provide proper and sufficient food, water, shelter, socialization, and veterinary treatment as my rabbit may require; and I shall not confine the rabbit to a small cage/hutch for long periods of time; rather I will let my rabbit live within my household as much as safely possible.
I promise to protect my rabbit from other animals that may threaten his/her safety; and will supervise any children around my rabbit.
I promise to keep my rabbit indoors as a companion and not housed outdoors; nor will I ever leave my rabbit outside unsupervised.
