Adopt a Rabbit!
Adoption fees:
$45.00 Adoption fee for a spayed/neutered (unless too young at the time), litterbox trained rabbit. This non-profit fee helps cover our fostering (supplies; veterinary) expenses. Click here to read the Adoption Agreement Contract.

Education Before Adoption Educate yourself about the care for a house rabbit. Rabbits are not "low maintenance" pets; they require a specific diet, regular attention and contact with you every day. And, rabbits are easily litterbox trained! At RabbitsNmore, we have plenty of complimentary, educational handouts regarding diet, housing, medical concerns, and more. We'd love to meet you, answer your questions, and introduce you to the sweet bunnies waiting for loving, permanent homes. Or we can mail you the information-just call us (831-917-1948).

Foster a Rabbit! Foster homes for rabbits are always needed. Bunnies needing a home environment may include: new mothers and babies; rabbits recovering from surgery, and/or easily stressed and sensitive bunnies. Click here to read the Fostering Agreement.

Donate! Click here to see our Wish List. Supplies such as litter, hay, and pellets are always needed and greatly appreciated.

Meet the rabbits!
If you want to meet a particular rabbit, call to set up an appointment (831-917-1948). Also check our Links page for more shelters, rescue organizations, and animal welfare sites.

Pet Checks: write a check-help a Rabbit! Support our chapter, animal welfare, and have great-looking checks too! You can even have a photo of your pets on your checks. Click here to see Pet Checks, and look for our chapter under participating organizations (CA E12). The checks work with your existing account.

Indoor Homes only for Rabbits!
We allow rabbits to be adopted out only to indoor homes. When housed outdoors, rabbits are very vulnerable to predatory animals such as raccoons, foxes, hawks, loose dogs, and parasites such as flies and mosquitos. A rabbit can die of fright even when untouched by a predator, from the extreme stress. Rabbits are also very social animals; they need and want your care and attention every day. Rabbits deserve to be part of your family, not isolated outdoors.

Before You Adopt a Rabbit...

Which adults in the family will be the primary caretakers?
Are you prepared for a possible 10-year commitment?
Does everyone in your family want a rabbit?
Are you prepared to provide proper veterinary care including the spay and neuter of your rabbit, and necessary vet visits?
Do you have an appropriate cage and supplies?
Is your home and yard "bunny-proofed"?
Do you have other animals that could endanger the rabbit?
Have you had a rabbit before? What happened to him/her?
Will you be able to supervise any children around this rabbit?
Are you allowed to have rabbits in your house/apartment?
If you move, get married, have a baby, or the kids lose interest, are you prepared to keep your rabbit?
